Terms and Conditions of Sale – Home Chic Home (SARL 882431372)

1. About

Welcome to Home Chic Home! These terms simply set out the rules of our agreement. Our apartments are rented as furnished tourist accommodation for temporary stays. They are neither primary nor secondary residences, and no professional activity is permitted without prior agreement. Remote work is, of course, allowed.

The Client declares that they have read and accepted these terms before booking. Confirming a booking constitutes full and unconditional acceptance of these Terms and Conditions of Sale.

In case of a booking made through a third party (Airbnb, Booking.com, etc.), that third party’s terms and conditions apply as a priority. Our terms may still apply in addition, in particular as rental terms and conditions.

2. Booking

Booking can be made easily via our website, by phone, or by email. It becomes final once we have confirmed it and full payment has been made (or a deposit, depending on the case). The name linked to the payment method must match the Client, unless agreed in advance.

The total price is shown in euros, all taxes included, including the tourist tax, excluding optional services (additional cleaning, early check-in, late check-out, etc.). The booking is personal and non-transferable.

3. Payment

Payment is made in euros by secure bank card (Visa, MasterCard, Amex, others). For long stays (28 nights or more), rent must be paid at least one month in advance. In case of non-payment, the booking may be cancelled.

Card fees may apply: 2% (European cards) and 4% (international cards). No fees apply to bank transfers.

4. Check-in, check-out and security deposit

Check-in is from 4:00 pm (or the time stated in the booking confirmation), and check-out is before 11:00 am. A valid ID may be requested. The Client must report any issue noticed upon arrival.

A security deposit may be required before arrival to cover potential damage in the apartment and the common areas:

  • For short stays (less than 28 nights), it is taken as a €500 pre-authorisation via a secure link. This pre-authorisation does not debit your account and will be released no later than 3 days after check-out if no damage is found.
  • For long stays (28 nights or more), it is equal to one month’s rent and is collected no later than 14 days before arrival, by bank transfer or by bank card (card fees may apply, see Article 3). It is refunded within 7 days after check-out if no damage is found.

5. Cancellation and changes

For short stays (less than 28 nights), free cancellation up to 7 days before arrival, otherwise full payment is due.

For long stays (28 nights or more), free cancellation up to 30 days before arrival, otherwise the first 28 nights are due.

No refund in case of early departure.

Any change is subject to availability and must be approved by Home Chic Home or by the third party used for the booking.

Subject to availability and at our discretion, you may extend your stay, with no guarantee of keeping the same apartment or rate. In case of a shortened stay, no refund will be issued. Any change made via a partner must be handled directly by that partner.

For extra peace of mind, clients may purchase cancellation insurance at the time of booking. It covers the stay from start to finish in case of illness, an epidemic, a professional obligation, or damage at home, and includes repatriation assistance as well as holiday liability insurance for all participants.

6. House rules and respect

Our apartments are located in residential buildings. Please respect the neighbours’ peace and quiet and avoid noise after 9:00 pm. Smoking is prohibited in the apartments and common areas, and pets are not allowed (unless prior approval is granted). Any illegal activity or inappropriate behaviour will result in immediate termination of the stay with no refund.

Any incident, damage, or malfunction occurring during the stay must be reported immediately as soon as it is noticed.

7. Liability

The Client is responsible for the proper use of the premises and equipment. Photos are for illustrative purposes and variations may occur. Home Chic Home cannot be held liable in case of theft, loss, or damage to personal belongings.

8. Data protection

Your data is processed in accordance with the GDPR and used only to manage your booking. By confirming your booking, you agree to this processing, including any transfers required to our service providers.

9. Complaints

Any complaint must be sent by registered letter with acknowledgement of receipt to Home Chic Home - 4 rue Durand - 34000 Montpellier, within 8 days of the date of the incident. After this period, no complaint will be considered.

10. Disputes

French law applies. In case of dispute, the competent courts are those of Montpellier.
